This study has been styled around being contemporary filed under modern, using a stylish colour scheme and smart storage space. Firstly, looking at the colour scheme the matt black creates a bold base colour and then the choice of creative oak panels and worktop adds a strong texture, interesting but complimentary contrast. As an office, smart storage is important, and this has been done thoroughly through the addition of a long desk with open shelves and cupboards as well as tall units. Having the open displays in the units is a personal choice but also is aesthetically pleasing and slightly abstract without the symmetry but it adds depth in doing so. An integrated TV unit has been added because just having it on the wall you’d lose storage space but building units around like in the study creates plenty of space and keeps up with the aesthetics.
